• The base location for this role is Balliol National Distribution Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne

• Assist Engineering Manager by ensuring daily and weekly work plans for the Engineers are delivered to the required standards.
• Supports and feeds into PDR’s for Engineering Team.
• Assist with coaching and mentoring/ development opportunities for the team as requested.
• Supports management of any shortfalls in performance.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm and encourages teams in line with Company Values.
• Communicate effectively with all team members
• Act as role model for colleagues
• Delegate work to as and when appropriate.
• Provides regular updates on key issues to the Engineering Manager.
• Encourages team to identify any areas for improvement.
• Supports recruitment needs with Engineering Manager and People Department, participating in the recruitment process as requested.
• Assist with the development and delivery of the departmental PPM's, SOP’s, training and skills matrix.

You will fit right into this role if you:

• Mechanical and Electrical skills
• Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Good Interpersonal Skills
• Good Planning and Organising Skills
• Ideally engineering based apprenticeship – craft training, or appropriate experience at a suitable level
• Experience with use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) ideally Agility.

Desirable:

• HACCP or similar training/experience.
• Foundation Level Food Hygiene, or Level 3 Food Hygiene or above.
• Experience in Siemans TIA Portal and PLC fault finding.
