Level 1 Engineer
Based remotely or in any of our UK offices, the purpose of this role is to support the wider engineering team with a range of duties, ranging from administration to checking and authorising repair invoices.
Primary Responsibilities:
· To check and authorise repair invoices
· To pursue and act on independent engineers reports
· Liaise with drivers and policy holders (where applicable)
· Assist with queries from other areas of the business, when required
· Acts as a mentor to other members of the engineering team
· Liaise with field engineering companies, customers and clients
Essential Skills:
- Proven technical experience from a bodywork or mechanical background and ideally achieved or working towards ATA / IAEA / IMI qualification
- Excellent knowledge of up to date estimating systems
- Detailed knowledge of methods involved in repairing modern motor vehicles
- Able to plan ahead and be aware of changing and conflicting priorities
- Understand the company’s position in the market and can balance client needs with the requirements and capabilities of the company
- Keep abreast of new technologies and trends within the repair industry
- Excellent and proven knowledge of the practices involved in motor claims handling
