Job description
Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established, expanding material handling dealer looking to recruit a new forklift service engineer to service to their products from their depot in Kent. With a competitive salary & overtime opportunity plus numerous other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer interested in a new role.
Responsibilities
· Servicing a fleet of forklift trucks from the company’s depot in Kent
· Servicing plant equipment to include excavators and dumpers
· Repairing and restoring damaged equipment so that they a ready for resale
· Cooperating with the Service Manager and Workshop Manager to ensure service is carried out efficiently
· Maintaining a safe and tidy workbench and overall workshop
Requirements
The company have a preference for an individual from a forklift truck background due to the requirements of the role however this is not essential. They will also consider candidate with a background working within the plant industry. You will be able to work well on your own and as part of a team whilst being able to develop your skillset and learn as you go. In terms of location, you will need to be based within commutable distance of Maidstone, Kent.
