Your key objectives will be to improve performance within Daisy by constantly challenging and then increasing the levels of operational efficiency in our Monitoring Solution; enhancing service to our Customers and promoting a culture of innovation and ‘Service Excellence’.


Job Description


About the role

In this role you will-

  • Learn how to use and become an administrator of Logic Monitor.
  • Work towards creating customer Dashboards
  • Learn how to navigate across & troubleshoot servers & networking equipment, learning Windows and SNMP.
  • Learn how to work with a ticket management system (Service Now) and learn about ITIL.
  • 80/20% work study split dedicating a day for your apprenticeship studies.
  • Spend your time working across different teams learning different aspects of IT and how a MSP (Managed Service Provider) works.
  • Shadow our development team to learn how they enhance Logic Monitor.
  • Create and maintain documentation, process and procedure
  • Work towards creating presentations and facilitating meetings
  • You maybe asked to carry out any ‘ad hoc’ assignments as and when required..

This opportunity will provide a brilliant opportunity for learning, as the successful candidate will also complete a Level 3 ICT Technician Apprenticeship. This will involve week long residential training with our training partner. Excellent career progression opportunities and superb pastoral support will also be given.


Qualifications


What do we need from you:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; comfortable creating technical reports, documentation and presentations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills combined with the ability to provide solutions
  • Ability to challenge current methods and processes- how can we further improve?
  • Pragmatic but with a positive attitude which can be maintained under pressure
  • Self-assured and able to work alone as well as part of a team
  • Thorough with great attention to detail
  • Results driven and an ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to cope with setbacks and changing business objectives
  • Proactive and use of initiative
  • Willingness to go the extra mile

Advantageous but not essential:

  • Knowledge of platform areas including server OS, virtualisation, network and Microsoft technologies
  • Experience of Linux (RedHat, SuSE, Ubuntu)
  • Experience of PowerShell, Groovy or Java Scripting
