An opportunity to play your part as “Head of Engineering”. Reporting to the VP of Engineering the successful candidate will take responsibility for the performance and results within your business area, including its functional area, multiple functional areas, or the entire platform. You will also have an influence across multiple areas, disciplines, and other platforms. You will work in a cross functional leadership team to develop and drive a 2+ year roadmap to adapt current plans and priorities addressing any challenges. You will also identify and drive complex cross-area initiatives and address cross-team issues.
The day to Day
- Develop and deliver the engineering strategy for across the platforms.
- Drive innovation and continual improvement in and around your area of focus.
- Manage performance reviews, pay decisions, recruitment processes and other employee lifecycle actions.
- Suggest improvements and collaborate closely with the People Team.
- Deliver annual departmental budgets, ensuring expenditure is in line with the business plan and budget.
- Identify and resolve technical problems
- Act as a mentor to your Engineer, developing career plans and targets.
About You
- Demonstrable experience in engineering leadership.
- Proven track record of success in delivering results.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
