As a Composite Cowl Engineer, you will lead the design and development of future engine enclosures and components.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and develop composite engine enclosures and structural systems.
Design and develop enclosure sealings and drain systems.
Design and develop enclosure latching systems and structural support.
Interact with multiple groups including Engine Design, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, Service and component suppliers.
Create design timelines and resource estimates.
Write test plans, analyzing test results, and recommending design direction.
Basic Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
10+ of experience in composite structures, sealing systems, and latching systems design
Ability to convey complex test results in a clear and concise manner.
Extensive experience with Composite materials, processes, and design
Experience with metal stamping materials and processes.
Experience with extruded and molded rubber materials and processes.
Familiar with Die Cast and Investment Cast materials and processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with Industrial Design groups
Familiar with marine cowling design and testing
Experience with Pro-E
