Bennett Aerospace, Inc. has an opening for a highly motivated Engineer I located at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. This position is considered an entry-level engineering or chemist position. Typical responsibilities include designing and developing plans, processes, procedures, functional and data requirements analysis, system analysis, and documentation preparation for complex systems. Engineering disciples preferred for this potion include materials, aerospace, chemical, or environmental.
The Engineer I will provide support to Exploration Ground Systems (EGS)-related laboratory projects, including performing basic materials and processing tasks, such as learning how to use NASA and industry standards and provide technical data to Senior Materials Engineers. There may also be an opportunity to support research projects depending on experience and skills.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform laboratory testing, synthesize data, and perform data analysis
- Prepare reports or memoranda addressing objectives, techniques, results, conclusions, and recommendations
- Follow NASA laboratory protocols and safety requirements
- Support research projects, including supporting Materials and Processes engineering team
- Stay current on technologies for all assigned analytical and testing instruments
Education and Experience Required:
- BS. in Engineering (Materials preferred, but not required) or Chemistry
- 0-2 years of related work experience in a laboratory environment
- A basic knowledge of standard test methods, data analysis, operation of analytical instruments
- A drive to learn new processes and procedures in a dynamic laboratory environment
Security Requirements :
Security Clearance Level: Secret
- Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
- Successful Pass of Bennett Aerospace Background Investigation, Drug Screening and Credit Check.
