Project/Section Engineers:
Ballycommon is seeking an experienced Project Engineers and Section Engineers to start with one of our well known clients around North London.
Job Description:
This role aims to fulfill Engineering responsibilities for multiple projects within the region.
The Engineers will be responsible for establishing survey control and levels for contracts, as well as accurately setting out works based on contract drawings.
Regular checks will be conducted to ensure compliance. Key areas of focus include health, safety, and environmental compliance, maintaining quality standards, and efficient site engineering. Building strong relationships with the site workforce and customer's technical representative is also important.
Responsibilities:
- - Promote safety standards and establish a safe working culture
- - Adhere to company procedures, legal obligations, and environmental compliance
- - Deliver work safely and in compliance with quality standards
- - Implement best practices and adhere to company procedures
- - Ensure defect-free work and identify value engineering opportunities
- - Establish survey control and accurately set out works based on contract drawings
- - Maintain accurate records and resolve technical difficulties or unexpected problems
- - Coordinate with procurement department to ensure adequate resources are available
- - Create procurement schedules, ITPs, Task Briefings, and 2-week look ahead plans
- - Maintain Site Diaries and Allocation Sheets
Key Relationships:
- - Develop positive working relationships with site workforce and customer's technical representative
Essential:
- - Previous experience in setting out civil engineering projects
- - Experience in deep water Infra Civil Engineering, including deep and trenchless drainage
- - Competency in managing Temporary works
- - Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and legal regulations
- - Familiarity with total robotic station or EDM instruments
- - Degree qualified / HNC (or equivalent) in civil engineering
- - Excellent communication skills
- - Competency in managing information controls and RFI process to consultant
- - Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook
- - CSCS and SMSTS certifications
- - Temporary works supervisor / coordinator certification
Desirable:
- - Experience in AutoCAD and MS Office
- - MEICA experience
- - Underground service detection
- - Lifting Appointed person certification
- - NRSWA Supervisor certification
- - Confined spaces Medium Risk certification
- - Temporary-works coordination
- - Cable avoidance training
- - First aid training
- - NEBOSH or IOSH certification
