About the Bay Door Engineer role:
We are seeking a highly motivated engineer who specialises in Bay Door Engineering to join our growing facilities team. The successful candidate will operate across 5 sites (4 x Crewe & 1 x Stoke), you will be responsible for both reactive and proactive maintenance on around 100 bay doors and associated equipment.
- Salary: £45,000 per annum
- Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00am-16:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
- Job Type: Full time and permanent contract

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing As Our Bay Door Engineer:
- Carrying out service, maintenance and repair of industrial doors and loading bay equipment
- You will need to organise your workload in a fast-paced environment, travel to site, resolve issues and make repairs as necessary
- Reporting any serious malfunctioning doors or loading bay equipment to the Facilities Manager and for the safety of staff lock off the bays to ensure they are not operated by site users.
- Coordinating weekly/monthly /quarterly routine maintenance and inspections of all loading bay equipment and industrial doors
- Repairing or replacing Motor/ Electrical door control panels
- Following all Health & Safety compliance - LOP's, SSOW's as per Company regulations
- Ensuring the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety, environmental and welfare at work
- You will follow an on-call rota, in which you will receive additional payments
A Few Things About Our Bay Door Engineer:
- You will need previous practical engineering experience, servicing, repairing carrying out routine maintenance of industrial doors and loading bay equipment (dock shelters, dock levellers, wheel locks etc)
- You must have a valid full driving licence
- You will require a valid IPAF license
- Be qualified to NVQ L2 - Door, Gate & Shutter Systems
- Be IT literacy in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ideally IOSH working safely qualified
- You will need experience compiling detailed servicing reports
