Job description
Essential Functions:
- Assists in developing mission-focused solutions to meet customer needs.
- Position AEVEX to win corporate opportunities heavily focused on new work or with new clients.
- Assists in developing a cohesive solution that integrates all aspects of the AEVEX enterprise, including, mission management, sensor selection/integration, aircraft modification/airworthiness, and payload selection/analysis.
- Works closely with AEVEX enterprise engineering to develop design optimization and systems integration.
- Conduct trade studies for customers.
- Works closely with Program Management to develop executable Concepts of Operations (CONOPs).
- Develops and Leverages own industry relationships to identify, develop, and win business opportunities.
- Develops robust understanding of company services, products, and rate structure.
- Obtain and leverage competitive intelligence and collaborate with Business Development to gather, assess, and validate customer requirements.
- Go on discovery calls or trips to meet prospective clients and generate and present solutions based on the client's needs.
- Prepare and lead pursuit and bid discussions with emphasis on obtaining decisions that can be actioned.
- Assists in the development of management, technical, teaming, staffing, and pricing solutions and integrate them into a winning whole that will be both executable and profitable.
- Participates as a member of a pursuit team, proactively identifying and incorporating technical and client subject matter expertise, corporate functional assets, partner knowledge, and external resources.
- Manage workload assignments and level of effort across all resources.
- Prepare, manage, and report on Bid & Proposal spending and return on investment for each opportunity led.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Systems)
- 3+ years experience in Aviation & Defense industry required.
- Aviation-related ISR experience is a plus.
- Attention to detail and project management skills are required.
- Strong leadership skills, written and oral communication.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government TOP SECRET security clearance within 6 months of hire.
- Solidworks Certified
