Trainee Door Engineer
This is a trainee position for someone with a basic 1-2 years experience of working in the building or engineering industries.
While working with us you would receive a period of structured training lasting typically 2-3 years. If you progress successfully you will be given the opportunity to gain an NVQ in Door Engineering, and subsequently a CSCS "Skilled Worker" Card.
Applicants should -
- have some experience of working in a construction or outdoor environment in all weathers.
- Be a minimum of 17 years of age.
- Be fit and able to handle lifting reasonably bulky and heavy items
- be able to work at heights, normally up to 5m and occasionally up to 10m
(with appropriate height access equipment)
- be able to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required.
- have or be capable of gaining a driving licence
Training will typically consist of 6-12 months in our manufacturing workshop, followed by 2 years working with teams of field engineers, installing, maintaining and repairing industrial doors and roller shutters.
Training consists of attending 3rd party courses, online Health and safety courses, and a series of target-driven training units provided by our experienced engineers and supervisors.

~ 20 days holiday + 10 public holidays
~ Uniform / PPE provided

Salary: £7.00-£11.00 per hour
