Piramal Pharma Solutions is a leading global CDMO of advanced drug development and manufacturing solutions to the pharmaceutical industry.
The Role
During the first year the apprentice will work at our site in Grangemouth, learning and gaining great knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical. You will work alongside other engineers who will mentor you during this first year.
Key Roles/Responsibilities
· Maintain, monitor and improve HPS engineering systems / documentation to ensure compliance with Business, Company, ESH, cGMP and Engineering standards.
· Ensure that HPS plant / equipment availability meets Business objectives by planning, organising and prioritising personal workload.
· Procure and manage spares to levels to maximise plant / equipment availability and to minimise maintenance costs.
· Participate in minor / major projects by acting as project plant rep. assisting in the installation and operational of equipment. Initiate / update and seek approval of the required controlled maintenance documentation for projects.
· Develop knowledge and skills required for specialist plant and equipment maintenance.
· Work as part of a team, being responsible and accountable for meeting individual, team and business targets.
· Can work as part of team but also self-starter prepared to take initiate/ownership
· Good time management and communication skills – can work to schedule and meet deadlines
· Can understand P&ID, engineering drawings and specifications
· Mentor junior members of team
· Knowledge of engineering standards
The successful individual will work closely alongside our engineers learning specific skills.
The training will take the form of a Modern Apprenticeship (5 Years) and will lead to a formal qualification of SVQ level 2 and 3, NC with a possibility of then progressing to a HNC level on successful completion of the NC.
Essential Qualifications
English/math/science national five qualification
Essential Experience
· Experience or knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems
· Good hand/eye co-ordination
