The roles can be based at any of our office locations: Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, London, Manchester and York.
You will be part of a team of engineering, asset management and capital investment specialists. Your expertise will support our organisation in holding Network Rail to account.
Our team is mainly made up of Chartered Engineers and project delivery specialists. Our team members have experience in relevant industries as practitioners.
We have many responsibilities defined in law. Almost uniquely amongst Regulators we have both Safety and Economic duties.
Your work will be varied, interesting and rewarding. In any week you may find yourself Authorising new railway subsystems, contributing to investigations or assessing performance.
This role takes place in the Civil Engineering Team that covers the following disciplines: Earthworks, Drainage, Track, Operational Property, Lineside Buildings, Structures, Plant, Tunnels and Mining.
At ORR we have adopted hybrid working and are currently expected to work from our designated office for a minimum of two days per week.
Regional salary range: £51,826 £56,071
London salary range: £55,989 - £62,180
This is a full-time role but can also offer part-time, flexible working and job share.
