Consumer Buying Specialist
We're looking for a highly motivated specialist to join our Buying team at Cazoo, helping to transform the way people buy used cars and making buying a car no different to buying any other product online today.
As a Consumer Buying Specialist you will be responsible for improving the way we purchase cars from consumers, profitably and while maintaining a 5* customer experience. Using data and keeping an eye on our competitors' propositions, you will work with our key stakeholders across the business in Product/Tech, Logistics, Marketing, CS/CRM and Pricing to continually improve and optimise our consumer purchasing proposition.
You will be someone that enjoys working in a fast paced environment and with various teams across the business. A data-driven mindset is key, as is the ability to follow tasks and projects through to completion, as well as provide new ideas where possible. You will be an integral part to making Cazoo not just the best place to buy a used car, but also the best place to sell a car in the UK.
What you'll be doing:
- Using data to recommend and drive operational and product improvements across our consumer purchasing channel, taking ownership of some projects and supporting on others
- You will be key to improving the look and feel of the website journey for our customers looking to sell and buy their car, closely monitoring our competitors' journeys too
- You will have your finger on the pulse of all elements of the company, meeting regularly with stakeholders from other teams to sync on strategy and prioritisation
- Conduct complex analysis including customer, competitor and market insights from internal and external sources to develop and validate recommendations on system and process improvements. Building scenario-based models to evaluate new opportunities.
- Support daily analysis tasks and execute regular reporting and improvements where necessary.
- Develop succinct, insightful, data driven conclusions
- Spot and work collaboratively to fix any data/reporting issues
Key skills and experience required:
- The successful candidate should have a strong analytical background
- A people person, able to build and develop relationships with internal stakeholders
- A high level of skill using Excel (or Google Sheets)
- A natural learner, comfortable in new situations and driven to find solutions
- Highly organised individual with sharp attention to detail
- Self starter who thrives in an environment with a high level of autonomy
- Data driven - ability to define and track the KPIs that really matter to the bottom line
- Comfortable working at pace and to multiple deadlines
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to deal with ambiguity and manage your time
