Expro Group are currently recruiting for an Engineer 1 join the Engineering team based in Aberdeen.
Overall Purpose of the Job
Responsible for Expro’s engineering activities within a designated Engineering business area. Undertake general Engineering tasks as directed by Supervisor / Manager to enable the progress and completion of related projects.
Key Activities and Accountabilities
- Produce the required Engineering documentation then check for compliance with industry standards and Expro’s policies and procedures
- Record Engineering documents into PDM system and configure as required
- Create concept designs through PCL sketches and 3D model files. Create new assembly configurations and product variants.
- Produce load case diagrams and load case registers for input to finite element analysis activities.
- Produce and review calculations for design verification (applying engineering theory / ability to work from first principles and in compliance with internal procedures, client requirements and industry standards).
- Create and review Engineering component and assembly drawings.
- Actively participate in Engineering meetings with internal and external parties
- Upload information to Engineering databases and use technical software packages as required
- Liaise with other technical departments on work produced to ensure that any calculations and analysis is fit for purpose
- Where appropriate manage project interfaces with third party suppliers to ensure delivery and agreed standard of work as per project /plan
Job Knowledge and Qualifications
- Technical or Engineering Qualification
- 5+ years’ work experience within a related industry
- Proficient in use of technical software packages such as Auto Desk, MathCad, PDM System use
