Job description

Engagement Project Officer – Kernow Parenting Journey (Parent Panels)

Healthwatch Cornwall currently has the contract to host and support Kernow Parenting Journey (KPJ). Having successfully developed this programme following an extensive research and evaluation phase, the next step is to put the programme into practice, which includes ensuring that the parent/carer’s voice is heard at all stages of their journey.

The primary purpose of the Engagement Project Officer is to support an independent service user led parent/carer panel.

This will involve organising and attending the panel meetings, and promoting KPJ and Healthwatch Cornwall (HC) either virtually or face to face at local events and in the community. You will work with and support a number of volunteers, as well as contributing to the wider operational team, particularly with research activity. Due to the nature of the role, it is a requirement that you have access to your own transport. Confidence to use social media to promote KPJ parent panels and community events is another fundamental part of this role.
