To develop, operate and maintain corporate energy management systems in order that the Council achieves it carbon reduction commitment and assist the Corporate Energy Manager in implementing programmes of energy conservation and investment measures.

Overall management and development of corporate energy management database systems, to ensure that energy and water data held is accurate and comprehensive, in order to facilitate accurate decision making within all departments and services of the Council.

Identification of areas of energy and water inefficiency, developing recommendations for improvement, and implementation of programmes of energy efficiency measures to ensure the council achieves its carbon neutralisation commitment

Extracting, analysing and providing an accurate interpretation of data from a variety of sources in order to inform and deliver projects, both within the Energy Team and wider organisation.

Manage the corporate energy database system, liaising with software suppliers as necessary, to ensure that the systems operate efficiently, effectively and securely in order to maintain system and data integrity.

Allocate and supervise the day to day work of the Energy Management Apprentice, giving guidance and training to ensure that the core work areas are progressed in an efficient, competent and timely manner and apprenticeship guidelines are supported.

Undertake utility bill verification checks in order to target poor data collection procedures to improve the management and control of energy usage and cost. Manage additions and removals from contract notifications along with managing quarterly review meetings with utility suppliers

Liaise with other Council departments and services and external organisation to ensure that the Council complies with its legislative requirements and reporting of KPI data.
8.
Maintain and develop a programme of energy conservation publicity material and awareness training to encourage building managers and users to use energy efficiently and economically.
9.
Management of the Council’s Building Energy Management system to ensure the efficient operation of key heating and ventilation plant at various sites.
The job holder may be required at any time to undertake any work up to and/or at a level consistent with existing responsibilities. These tasks may be at any location in Cheshire East, to ensure the effective deployment of labour, materials, transport and equipment to meet daily service requirements.
