We are looking to appoint an Energy Manager to join our Facilities Estate Operations team who will take the lead role in ensuring campus infrastructure, buildings, plant and equipment are energy efficient, cost effective and fully support University strategic Net Zero objectives for Scope 1 & 2 carbons emissions.
Having comprehensive managerial experience and understanding of energy / carbon management; associated UK regulatory & legal compliance and economic incentives that may encourage energy efficiency or renewable initiatives this role also has primary responsibilities for University Electricity, Water and Gas utilities budgets.
Line managing an Energy Assistant (subject to recruitment) and through close multi-disciplinary collaboration with the Principal Engineer, Principal Surveyor, Head of Sustainability and wider Facilities Team this crucial role will develop, coordinate and implement strategies and policies to reduce energy consumption and encourage the use of renewable and sustainable energy sources.
