This is a fantastic opportunity for a Commissioning Manager to support the delivery of commissioning activities for industrial & commercial battery & hybrid systems and Electric Forecourts™, including electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of project documentation including pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures for GS assets.
- Coordinate and manage contractor and subcontractor activities associated with pre-commissioning and during commissioning.
- Work closely with the project, engineering, and construction teams to manage the commissioning process.
- Assist with operational readiness plan and project execution plan development.
- Lead on health, safety and environmental (HSE) issues on site and maintain overall responsibility for ensuring that the team complies with the HSE Plan.
- Oversee the progress on site, reporting progress on all Commissioning activities both internally and externally.
- Review and approve commissioning plans/ methods from all commissioning contractors, ensuring delivery to the QITP process.
- Prepare commissioning documentation and collect information for the client handover pack.
- Sign-off on completion of commissioned activities as per manufacturers processes for successful handover to the O&M team.
- Responsible for the commissioning of HV & LV components to include protective devices, relays, CTs, VTs, switchgear, RMU’s, Transformers, Substation and ancillary equipment.
- Responsible for the successful G99/G100 commissioning activities, ensuring through accurate coordination the successful connection of the project in line with the targeted dates.
- Management of all commissioning related snagging and ensuring that all snags are closed out in a timely manner.
- Authorising safe isolation procedures prior to and after energisation.
- Compiling safe commissioning procedures to include RAMS.
- Train electrical commissioning engineers in commissioning procedures.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System, compliant with ISO standards.
Essential Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role you will need to be an excellent communicator with the drive to remain focused and deliver against tight deadlines - with a solution focused approach to problem solving.
Experience requirements include:
- Proven experience of managing all commissioning responsibilities on site, including setup, management of and closing out of the Commissioning plan for the project.
- 4+ years of experience up to authorised person level, including switchgear/network installations and cables.
- Ability to plan, author, and execute a commissioning process, including switch sequencing.
- Demonstrated understanding of electrical safety and competency.
- LV, 11KV & 33KV Substation commissioning experience.
- Working knowledge of SMSTS, IOSH or other equivalent H&S certificate (NEBOSH).
- Experienced in coordination of third-party testing services for MV systems, and equipment vendor commissioning processes.
- Able to manage various sub-contractors commissioning and testing process and procedures.
- Able to compile all testing and commissioning documentation including verifying and signing off on all results.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical systems within utility/PV projects.
- Willingness to travel to sites in the UK on a regular basis to support project and business needs. May need to stay near project sites overnight or for longer periods, depending on location.
- Clean driving license
