Energy Saving Adviser
● Full time, 37 hours per week
● TBA - Based at home or hybrid (will require regular travel across Cheshire East district)
● Salary £29,269 + excellent benefits
● Fixed term until 30 September 2024
The role
Working as part of a pan Cheshire team to (a) deliver energy savings awareness workshops to community groups in Cheshire East district, and (b) to help vulnerable clients and individuals with fuel poverty issues. You will advise and support the residents of Cheshire
East to manage their energy costs and to provide them with the tools they need to make sustainable behaviour changes that will reduce their energy consumption and cut energy costs.
Knowledge and experience
You will have proven experience of delivering workshops, have excellent communication skills and be comfortable delivering presentations to groups of people. You will also have an understanding of the issues facing people affected by the cost of living crisis and energy poverty. NVQ Level 3 Energy Awareness training will be provided. We are ideally also looking for someone who has experience in dealing with clients on an individual basis.
Skills
You will have excellent people skills, be able to think quickly, stay calm under pressure, prioritise work and make decisions independently. You will have a good understanding of how to manage your own workload and enjoy working as part of a team. A good attitude to hard work, problem solving skills and being able to work autonomously are a must.
