Job description
Enabling support with clients with mental health and learning disabilities in the community - no personal care involved.
Bus tickets will be provided by company for work purposes, otherwise mileage is paid at 50 pence per mile. Travel time is paid between clients.
Duties will include:
Going shopping/coffee/afternoon out- Light Housework
- Prompting with medication/help ordering
- Teaching clients’ new skills (cooking etc.)
- Going to appointments
- Engaging with other professionals who are involved in their support.
- Involving clients in the community
- Completing Daily Logs
Work patterns are from 08:30 - 18:30 no evening or night work. Staff will be working every other weekend. Overtime is paid at time and half.
Hours: 35.00 per week
About the employer:
We are a small company run by the director who has over 30 years’ experience working in health and social care. The company was set up to enable clients to live in their own home with a bit of enabling support.

Training Provided:
You will attend Exeter College one day a week working towards either your Level 2 Adult Care Worker or Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker apprenticeship.
Additional Information:
Maths and English GCSEs at grades 4-9 (A-C), or equivalent. If you do not have one of these you should be willing to work towards Functional Skills in this subject.
