The GPU Engineering Division require an experienced and highly motivated Emulation Engineer to join a fast growing team and verify our next generation of pioneering GPUs. You will play a key role in the emulation team – with hands-on project work, enhancing existing flows, crafting and deploying new emulation flows and methodologies. The team includes design, verification and modelling engineers working on the next gen graphics processors. Given the span of the team, there may be opportunity for travel to other sites during your work. Job Overview: The role covers development and deployment of emulation methodologies as well as direct hands-on test bench development. Your responsibilities will be: Do emulation compile and bring up GPU with functional tests Run various benchmark frames and capture GPU PPA matrices Expected to investigate and script new verification CI flows and optimise existing flows You will be required to have an overview understanding of the GPU HW and it's features per project, ensuring we deliver a high quality product. Debug sophisticated GPU IP using loggers, scripts and waveforms Investigating areas of emulation methodology improvements and deploying within the group and owning/maintaining it What skills, experience and qualifications do I need? A proven record with experience in emulation. Be comfortable using System Verilog and C to modify codebase. Be familiar with the tools and processes for developing test benches which can run on Simulators, Emulators and FPGAs. You should be capable of developing emulation flows to the best use of EDA tools. Required Skills and Experience : Strong experience of working with Palladium, Strato or Zebu Emulators and bringing up and debugging complex IP or SoC designs. Strong experience with Python, C and System Verilog Experience of architecting and implementing functional verification environments for complex IP or SoC. Experience developing re-usable and scalable code. Excellent UNIX scripting skills and use Makefiles – being able to develop scripting to support new flows. Experience on how to setup and run Jenkins Pipelines. Commit to tackle multifaceted and sophisticated technical challenges. Strong communication skills and passionate to work well as part of a team as well as experience working and communicating with remote design centers. Must be able to work delivering to internal customers, collaborating with multiple team members to provide the technically best solution. A person interested in crossing the HW & SW domains of GPU development. “Nice To Have” Skills and Experience : Knowledge of SystemVerilog DPI or Emulator Transactor technologies Linux Embedded Systems knowledge Knowledge or understanding of graphics principles. Ability to build Android or Linux systems and comfortable working in a Linux shell environment Experience with formal properties or verification.
