Location – Stamford Bridge with regular travel to Cobham
Hours – Permanent – 35 hours a week (Any 5 of 7)

What We’re Looking For:
The Health and Wellbeing Manager will be pivotal in acting as a champion for mental health and wellbeing matters across the Club, driving awareness and embedding best practice.
Brief description and duties:
- To support in the design and delivery of the club’s mental health and wellbeing strategy in partnership with the relevant stakeholders such as health & safety, safeguarding and HR to ensure a holistic approach.
- Responsible for delivery of proactive support through the provision of wellbeing advice, guidance and appropriate tailored intervention to positively influence employee wellbeing.
- Collaborate with senior managers to provide coaching and advice on health and wellbeing best practices.
- Design, deliver, and implement a comprehensive health and wellbeing training program in partnership with the learning & development team.
- To facilitate manager training regarding supporting the wellbeing of colleagues and safeguarding, developing the confidence of all club staff in knowing how to recognise and respond to colleagues who may be in need of support.
- Continuously review and evaluate the impact of the well-being training to ensure it meets the needs of our teams.
- Guide managers and the HR Team on onboarding colleagues with mental, physical, and neuro diverse conditions.
- Understanding of local resources and community and statutory services, including Mental Health Teams, Social Services, Health, Schools, privately commissionable services and voluntary services, and communicate effectively with them in the best interest of the service user.
- To ensure that work is carried out within a framework, which promotes equality of opportunity in accordance with The Clubs policies.
- Work with partners from social care, health, police and the local authority to respond to identified risks where appropriate.
- Managing the Mental Health First Aiders programme, ensuring staff are appropriately trained, that systems are in place for recording incidents and that staff undertaking the role are supported for their own welfare.
- Dealing with sensitive and confidential issues within the frameworks of the Data Protection Act and any other professional and statutory guidelines. Ensuring record keeping and case management is in line with safeguarding practice requirements and compliance.
- To keep abreast of developments in the sector generally relating to areas of health & wellbeing and to advise on service improvements where needed.
- To offer expert advice to colleagues, as a point of escalation in wellbeing support, identifying themes and escalation to the leadership team.
- Ensure employees are aware of the resources and support available to them from a health and wellbeing perspective and that these are communicated effectively.
- Chair the Club’s Wellbeing Committee and support with developing a calendar of day-to-day wellbeing activities for staff on all sites.
Must Haves/qualified by demonstrable experience to the level required:
- Experience of implementing a strategy across a business.
- Evidence of a good working knowledge of mental health and wellbeing matters.
- Experience of working with individuals who are in acute stress and need.
- Experience of service development and project management.
- Experience of engagement, participation, and co-production work with a range of stakeholders.
- Evidence of successful partnership development for the purpose of improving access to support for different age ranges.
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Takes pride in provision of work. Strong attention to detail with good written and IT literacy.
- Current Mental Health First Aid Certificate (or willing to work towards)
