Role purpose:
This role will support the HR function with the management of higher risk employee relations cases, advising line managers and HR Business Partners on how to manage cases through to their conclusion in a way which balances the needs of the individual with the commercial objectives of the business.
The role holder will take the lead on ensuring that appropriate follow up actions are taken following the conclusion of a high-risk case, enabling the business to learn from experience and identify areas for improvement or change.
In conjunction with other members of the employee relations team, the role holder will use their experience to develop and deliver training on employee relations topics and deliver improvements to HR Policy.
What you'll do
Lead on the delivery of strategic advice to support the management of high-risk employee relations cases, including the management of exit agreements.
Work with line managers and HRBPs to enable them to manage high-risk cases through to a conclusion.
Coordinate the delivery of follow up actions arising from the conclusion of a high-risk case, ensuring that key stakeholders understand their accountabilities.
Use data available from ER Toolkit and the People Analytics dashboards to identify trends relevant to high-risk cases and ensure follow up actions are data-driven
Development and delivery of training for line managers and HRBPs on employee relations topics.
Identify opportunities for policy improvement to support future case management and lead on delivery of those improvements.
Who you are
Experience of ER or employment law strongly desirable
Proven ability to own and solve problems, offer solutions, suggest improvements
Experience of challenging decisions or established practices in a constructive way
Experience in building and managing relationships including with senior stakeholders
