We have a new role for an Employee & Industrial Relations Manager on a permanent basis.
As the Employee & Industrial Relations Manager, reporting to the Global Head of Employee Relations, you will be a critical member of the ER Centre of Excellence (CoE), supporting the delivery of our Employee and Industrial Relations (ER/IR) strategy, policy and workforce practices for Haleon. As a trusted partner, you will advise, guide and influence across the HR model, to maintain strong employee relations and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote positive employee and industrial relations across Haleon
- Partner in analysis and revision of people programmes, policies, and practices
- Consult and collaborate with business partners, compliance and legal teams on complex employee relations issues
- Work with our business to input into engagement or cultural plans to improve ER/IR situation or address ER/IR challenges
- Help analyse, diagnose, design, and revise people programs, policies, and practices to sustain positive employee relations across the company, as needed
- Provide appropriate ER/IR input into corporate business development activity – acquisitions, mergers, divestment, restructures
- Maintain our internal ER community of practice and contribute to the development of corporate ER capability
- Act as secretariat to European Works Council
- Preparation of corporate internal and external ER reporting content, including to NGOs, regulators, government and other key stakeholders as well as to support internal corporate insight
- Support the management of the relationship with global union organisations, and oversight of IR issue resolution and risk mitigation
Why you?
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree - or equivalent - in a relevant field (business, law, human resources)
- Alternatively, robust exposure and experience to the ER environment
- Significant experience in ER/IR matters, preferably within FMCG and/or CPG in
- Experience partnering with HR colleagues across multiple countries
- Strong interpersonal skills and a style that builds robust trusting relationships with business partners and stakeholders.
- Commercial acumen with ability to think strategically as well as deliver operationally, both effectively and at pace to achieve results.
- Functional expertise which includes strategy and policy development, as well as execution.
Preferred experience:
If you possess the following in addition to the above, it would be a plus:
- Experience of working with Trades Unions and in a unionised working environment.
- Knowledge and appreciation of international employee and industrial relations
- An analytical problem solver able to develop creative solution
- Ability to analyse, interpret and present data and findings
