The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, this is an exciting opportunity to work within the award-winning Corporate Affairs team. This role will support with the planning and execution of our newest Internal Communication channel, Workplace by Meta, launched last year to 170,000 employees. As a team, Internal Communications is responsible for providing effective communication to a number of key internal audiences and enable them to do their jobs, feel part of the business and act as advocates of the brand.
- Build trust, confidence and belief in the Leadership Team and in the Company Vision, Purpose and Strategy.
- Help our various audiences (Company, Franchisee/Restaurant Teams and Suppliers) understand their role in executing our strategy and driving business performance and engender consensus to the business purpose and vision; build a sense of the future that is both motivating and credible.
- Promote, articulate and champion the function internally and build respect for its contribution and value.
What will my accountabilities be?
To help implement and drive an internal communication's strategy through Workplace, supporting plans/campaigns that will engage employees with the Company Strategy and vision. The successful candidate will:
- Overall manage the day-to-day activities required to drive usage of Workplace
- Own the Workplace monthly planner, managing all content requests and working with representatives from across all departments to ensure important/relevant updates are included
- Generate awareness and excitement for the Workplace App across Ops, Marketing, People and other functions; educate key stakeholders on how to use Workplace to drive functional strategic agendas
- Community management, including developing ideas for user generated content and responding to comments and user queries
- Continue to drive awareness of the platform via creative / interactive campaigns and content, that includes an onboarding strategy of new users
- Own the Knowledge Library within Workplace, ensuring it is up-to-date at all times
- Monitor the Workplace inbox, providing timely responses to all messages
- Attend and contribute to the Global Monthly Content Sharing call
- Analyse the analytics native to the platform, to shape and prioritise digital engagement activities
- Monitor success criteria and KPIs, use insights to inform decision making, and present results to leadership
What team will I be part of?
Internal Communications (part of the Corporate Affairs team), is predominantly led by a small in-house team that looks after a number of channels and provides support to the UK & Ireland business on general day-to-day communication, projects and business priorities, as well as Leadership Communications and Internal Events.
Who will my customers be?
Internal Communications helps the business through collaboration and engagement the team joins the dots throughout the business and helps break down silos. The function works closely with teams in particular National Operations, Franchising, People & Reputation Teams and Marketing to drive employee engagement through innovative and creative campaigns.
