Equans is looking for an Employee Benefits and Recognition Advisor to join our team in Newcastle upon Tyne on a permanent basis. This is a full time, hybrid role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary of up to £35,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, plus company benefits package.
Overview:
A member of the Reward team within the Human Resources (HR) function, responsible for the implementation and communication of employee benefit programmes within the UK and Ireland.
You will be expected to research, analyse and develop modifications to the benefit programmes in order to meet the needs and objectives of the business.
some national travel will be required occasionally to attend meetings and events. (travel outside Newcastle will be compensated)
Although your work base will be our Newcastle office, hybrid working can be arranged with some flexibility to suit your lifestyle – this will be agreed with your Manager.
Key accountablilities:
You will lead on the maintenance of the benefits platform, Reward Gateway. (content creation, platform design, benefits communications, employee engagement events and activities).
To lead on the annual and ad-hoc benefit windows, and benefits data analysis projects.
End to end ownership of death in service and group income protection process.
Support benefits supplier relationships (attending meetings, rollout of standard programmes, updating benefits platform, communicating changes).
Support with the enhancement and coordination of employee recognition schemes.
Coordination of the benefit renewals process.
Work closely with the Benefits Manager on specialist project related activity which includes data analysis to support key decision making.
Regular liaison with Shared Service Centre administration team with regard to benefit activities and delivery.
Point of contact for help desk query escalation.
Support with increasing benefits knowledge within the company.
Responsible for processing team invoices.

Required knowledge/experience:
Experience of working within a Human Resources role with an interest in Employee Benefits and Engagement.
Excellent communication skills, written and oral, with an ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organisation.
Ability to create engaging visual and written content (with support from our internal comms and design teams).
Analytical and creative problem-solving skills. Able to investigate issues and respond appropriately by gathering and evaluating different sources of information and by drawing on various resources.
Self-motivated, well-organised, attention to detail and accuracy, can prioritise and able to demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude.
Client service focussed. Can demonstrate the ability to follow up and follow through.
Can work collaboratively and cross-functionally, a team player.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
