Job description

We are looking for an Employability Coordinator to help coordinate Arsenal in the Community Employability Provision programmes.

These programmes provide employment support and careers advice to individuals aged 16 +. They also offer sector specific training to provide individuals with a clear progression into education or employment.

Your day-to-day


  • Designing and delivering curriculum material including schemes of work and lesson plans for all Employability programmes.
  • Reviewing key outcomes; attendance, retention, achievement and destination to ensure they are consistently good or outstanding for Employability Programmes.
  • Engage with colleagues across the department and externally to recruit learners and monitor attendance.
  • Organising trips and events for participants of the Employability programmes
  • Maintaining the Student matrix and registers. Utilising relevant systems to accurately record student assessments and feedback.
  • Working with the wider team to review and develop the curriculum to ensure it meets the requirements of the study programme, individual student needs and funding requirements.
  • Monitoring and evaluating requirements of the programmes including appropriate record keeping, reporting and developing case studies to demonstrate the impact of the programmes.
  • Ensuring that all HR, Legal, Safeguarding and Health & Safety documentation is accurate and up to date.


What we are looking for


  • Experience working with volunteers and/or young adults
  • Ability to inspire and motivate individuals who are Not in education employment or training (NEET).
  • Experience of developing and delivering training to young adults
  • Level 4 Certificates in Education and Training and in Information, Advice and Guidance.
  • Experience of running interventions for Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) individuals.
  • Ability to work as a part of a team
  • Great communication skills
  • An understanding of assessment and quality assurance procedures as well as funding agency rules necessary to ensure the continued delivery of high quality education in this area.
