The programme
As part of our Samsung UK Apprenticeship, you’ll study a 3 year BSc Hons in Digital & Technology Solutions over a part time programme whilst learning on the job. You will embark on a series of projects working alongside our expert teams, while making a real contribution to one of the largest technology brands in the world. You will gain and apply practical and theoretical knowledge allowing you to develop personal skills whilst interfacing and building relationships with people in the business. We provide full training which includes an induction programme and development programme.
The role
The Technical Product Apprentice role will be part of the Technology & Services Customer Experience team within Samsung UK’s Mobile division. You will be working on the latest cutting-edge technology devices and digital services and ensuring sure these are technically signed off and market ready for the UK. You will get to live and breathe these new products/services as part of a connected lifestyle and ensuring Samsung customers have a great experience using our products and services.
Key deliverables
Develop a detailed understanding of the user experience of Samsung services across multi device categories e.g. smartphones, tablets and wearable’s.
Use this knowledge for raising, investigating and resolving technical issues on software releases with development teams and approving Field Test reports.
Working with Tech team members in managing software approvals processes and communicating technical issues to Samsung internal and external stakeholders.
Support the TPM team and wider team in flashing of devices for key stakeholders and helping the team with Samsung’s sample management system.
Anticipate potential issues/delays both from a technical and launch perspective and escalating these to the Head of Technology and wider CS&T team members.
Required qualifications and skills:
  • 2 A-levels or equivalent BTEC level 3, GCSE English and Maths
  • Provide Evidence of eligibility to work in the UK for the duration of the programme
  • Results driven, organised, analytical, customer focused, strong communicator and team player
  • Able to start September 2023
