Apple is looking for a skilled UK-qualified employment lawyer to join its Employment Law team based in its London office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a hands-on team with responsibility for employment-related legal matters affecting Apple's UK operations as well as other jurisdictions in Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA). Description
Provide advice and counsel to management and Apple’s People Team on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues including: recruiting; employee relations; disciplinary matters and terminations; internal investigations; employment/labour tribunals; and employee privacy issues. Support the Employee & Labour Relations Team with legal advice and strategy on collective issues such as union and works council matters, including in Retail and Original Content (TV & Media) production. Formulate and revise standard terms of employment or engagement and employee policies. Handle outside counsel on employment litigation matters. Advise on change management programmes, M&A and new country expansion projects throughout the EMEIA region. Prepare and conduct employment law training programs for the People Team and management.- Extensive experience in providing varied employment advice to large multi-national organizations.
Education & Experience
Experience handling and completing complex multi-jurisdictional projects or familiarity with the impact of employment laws in EMEIA region on global initiatives. Experience with UK collective bargaining desirable. Prior in-house experience valued, especially with pan-European operations. UK qualification as a Solicitor or Barrister required.
