NG Bailey have trained apprentices since 1934. Over 5,500 people have successfully completed an apprenticeship with us, many of whom have won national and industry awards, and have progressed to take up senior management positions.
Apprenticeships are available for anyone over 16 years of age. They offer you the opportunity to earn a wage and work full time in your chosen trade area. This means you develop your skills in a real working environment from day one and are able put the skills you learn at college, directly into practice at work.
The Electrotechnical Advanced Apprenticeship will equip you for a career as an electrician; installing and maintaining electrical equipment and systems in commercial and industrial premises. This apprenticeship is site based and will include extensive outdoor work on building sites and partially completed structures.
Tasks will include:
- Installation of electrical equipment and systems
- Carrying out Inspection and testing on electrical systems
- Identifying and repairing electrical faults
- Electrical commissioning
- Level 3 NVQ in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths, English and IT
- Employee Rights and Responsibilities
- AM2 practical test
Once your apprenticeship is complete, high performing individuals may have the opportunity to progress through the company’s various development programmes to higher level qualifications.
What you will need to apply
Grade C/4 or above in GCSE (or equivalent) English language, maths and a science based subject, plus 2 other subjects at grade C/4 or above. In order to be successful on their apprenticeship programme you must be driven, dedicated, hardworking and enjoy working as part of a team.
