Job Title: Electroplating Apprentice
Department: Electroplating
Reports to: Electroplating Operations Manager
SUMMARY
Reporting to the Electroplating Operations Manager the primary objective of this role is to develop key electroplating and chemistry skills, to be able to produce complaint electroplated parts in adherence with company safety and quality standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Electroplate Production and subcontract components.
- Maintain a safe working environment ensuring that all company and regulatory standards are achieved at all times.
- Perform chemical analysis on electroplating baths using various techniques.
- Contribute to departmental continuous improvement activities.
- Read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
- Catalogue and dispose company chemical waste observing all health and safety protocols.
- To perform electroplating quality control using a variety of proven techniques.
QUALIFICATIONS
Good standard of general education in maths and chemistry.
Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
The successful candidate will complete a chemistry and metal finishing apprenticeship/college courses.
EXPERIENCE
None required.

Ability to work within a team.
Ability to work accurately with good attention to detail
Computer literate.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, conscientious, team orientated individual with good communication skills.

The role involves working in an electroplating manufacturing facility.
