Electronic Engineer – Test

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure product meets performance and quality requirements through product testing in accordance with acceptance test procedures
- Develop and implement automated scripts to efficiently analyse test results
- Diagnose faults to component level in a methodological and efficient manner for both internal failures and customer returns
- Conduct root cause investigation, propose appropriate corrective actions and generate failure reports
Capture test requirements and coverage and to develop and generate appropriate Test strategies, Test plans, Test Acceptance procedures and Test Work Instructions
- Design, develop, implement and verify both automated and manual test systems and rigs with the appropriate circuits, tools and scripts for testing electronic assemblies and systems
- Support manufacturing review board of identified defects in Test
- Monitor and identify pattern trends and from test data pre-empt potential issues and discrepancies
- Ability to perform soldering to IPC standards (training will be provided)
- Test equipment are maintained in good condition and in calibration
Experience/Skills:
- HND in Electronics/Electrical or equivalent
- Significant practical experience on the bench, production testing and fault finding to component level of practical power electronics and/or analogue electronics based circuits, preferably in switch mode power supplies
- Ability to efficiently operate in a test lab environment various test equipment such as bench supplies, oscilloscope, DVM, spectrum analysers etc
- A strong foundation in fundamental electronics principles
- Ability to solder
- Experience in the design, build and commission of manual and automated production test sets
- Ability to carry out root cause analysis down to component level in electronics
