ELECTRONICS ENGINEER

IDEAL CANDIDATE

This role requires proven knowledge and experience with microcontrollers, software (C,C++,Python), electrical, comms and other electronics skills.

Full time role for an immediate start.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.

Please note: This is not a suitable role for a graduate engineer with no work experience. This is also a very hands-on role, using bench equipment and working with our vehicles, customer hardware, and with other team members - as such, this role is a full-time office based role.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Engineering bachelor’s or equivalent, with greater than 2 years of engineering experience
  • Knowledge and experience integrating hardware systems, using comms protocols such as Serial, I2C, CAN etc, and integrating hardware such as radios, sensors, actuators etc.
  • Proven experience with C/C++, Python and other languages desirable - Goal focused engineering.
  • Experience with low bandwidth communications (PWM, Serial, IC2 etc) – desirable if candidate is familiar with common protocols and hardware.

DESIRABLE:

  • Experience with PCB and Spice simulation software
  • Experience with robotics or unmanned aerial systems
  • Willingness to travel within UK and overseas if required

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Integration of hardware and software on R&D vehicles - including electronics design, microcontroller programming, system testing
  • Acting as point of contact for all technical issues relating to integrated hardware and designs
  • Liaise with other engineers to resolve production and design issues
  • Design of test procedures to ensure systems meet the current standards
  • Responsible for controlling personal workload and identifying any further resource need
