POSITION SUMMARY:
Due to the continued growth of the business, a new position of Electronics Engineer has been created within IPVideo Corporation, a subsidiary of ACG. This critical new position will report directly to the Director of Engineering.
The Electronics Engineer will design, develop, and maintain Electronics systems and components. They will be responsible for applying principles of Electronics engineering to various projects and ensuring Electronics systems' efficient and safe operation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Designing Electronics systems: Creating Electronics schematics, circuit diagrams, and layout plans for power distribution, lighting, control systems, and other Electronics components.
- Developing and testing prototypes: Building and testing prototypes of Electronics equipment or systems to verify their functionality and performance.
- Conducting feasibility studies: Assessing the technical and economic feasibility of Electronics projects, considering factors such as cost, materials, and regulations.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams: Working closely with other ACG engineers, technicians, and professionals to integrate Electronics systems into larger projects and ensure compatibility.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations: Adhering to relevant Electronics codes, standards, and safety guidelines in designing and implementing Electronics systems.
- Troubleshooting and maintenance: Identifying and resolving Electronics issues and malfunctions in existing systems, performing regular maintenance tasks, and implementing upgrades or repairs as needed.
- Project management: Planning and overseeing Electronics engineering projects, including defining project scope, setting timelines, managing resources, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
- Keeping up with technological advancements: Staying updated on the latest trends and advances in Electronics engineering and incorporating new technologies and techniques into designs and processes.
- Communication: Communicate with the Director of Engineering to implement company strategies.
- Documentation and reporting: Maintaining accurate records, preparing technical reports, and documenting all aspects of Electronics projects, including specifications, test results, and modifications.
- Continuous learning and professional development: Engaging in lifelong learning, attending conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in Electronics engineering.
REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics engineering or a similar field required.
- Minimum 7 to 12 years of relevant work experience required.
- Programming experience in C, Python, and/or JavaScript required.
- Strong Electronics experience, including the following preferred areas:
OpAmp circuits
Filters
Power supplies
Buck & Boost converters
ADC & DAC applications
Schematic capture
I2C, SPI, & UART
Audio CODECs, amplifiers, microphones, and speakers.
Isolated input/output
Ethernet, USB2, USB3 and simple RF including antenna & matching.
Use of basic sensors, including Hall effect, temperature, and humidity
PC Board Engineering, including ground planes, high frequency, and high currents
Passive component selection
Embedded microcontrollers, including Raspberry PI and ESP32.
