We are a specialist gaming, leisure and fruit machine style engineering company based in Hertford who design and manufacture products for the leisure and entertainment industry. We are looking a motivated team player to join the Design & Assembly Engineering team who has experience in a variety of CAD software packages to create design in 2D, as well as experience in assembly with a role that involves testing and packaging of electronic and mechanical equipment.
Requirements
- You will need to be comfortable working on a variety of simultaneous projects whilst maintaining strict attention to detail and meeting project deadlines.
- Knowledge of basic electronics essential.
- Experience with 2D CAD software is essential.
- Experience with 3D CAD modelling software is helpful but not essential.
- Assembly, test and rework of electronic and mechanical equipment to an excellent standard
- Ability to test PCBs - training given
- Work from procedures, verbal and written instructions with use of own initiative
- Work and rework to a good standard, consisting of operations such as, soldering, wiring & crimping, drilling, filing & cutting, and application of mastic & adhesives, using a variety of tools and equipment necessary to complete the operations
- Bench assembly experience helpful but not essential as further training will be provided
- Reasonable command of the English language both written and verbal
The Candidate
- Work experience in a similar role is desirable, but positive attitude will be favoured
- Shows initiative without supervision additionally not wary about asking for help
- Conversant with technical drawings
- Experience with 2D CAD software programmes is essential
- Experience with 3D CAD software programmes is desirable
- Soldering and knowledge of tools helpful
- Punctual, reliable, team player, organised and willing to learn
- Ideally live within 30 to 40 minutes travelling time of the office.
