About the Role
As our Electro-Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for electrical and mechanical assembly and integration of complex systems working from drawings and engineering instruction. You’ll demonstrate competent and safe use of all hand tools, jigs, fixtures and measuring tools, including final acceptance testing on the production line. Working with support from engineering group you’ll provide a methodical and precise approach to ensure successful completion of production tasks on high value hardware.
This exciting opportunity is based from our state of the art 64 acre facility in rural Bedfordshire and benefits from a 4 day working week (Mon – Thu)
Required skills, qualifications and experience
- A comprehensive range of Electrical and Mechanical assembly and fitting skills with previous experience in similar roles.
- Cable / Harness installation and routing / connecting.
- Ability to interpret drawings and work from written instructions, specifications, procedures, schematics, and engineering drawings with limited supervision.
- Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment with high accuracy.
- Experience of product functional acceptance testing desirable.
- Either recognised apprenticeship in mechanical assembly or equivalent or through work experience gained on the job.
- Competent with using IT/Software packages
- Cleanliness and housekeeping (5S) methodology.
- A high level of health and safety awareness.
