Job description

The Hansford Sensors Group are looking for ambitious and skilled production professionals to join our growing production facility. The Group has grown significantly over the past year and has Subsidiaries in Europe and the USA. The current role is within the production of Electronic Sensors where you will learn or add to your skills in different aspects of electronic assemblies, producing high performance electronics based on PCB component builds of 0402 SMD components and associated cable assemblies.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Show competencies in fault finding and reworking PCB assemblies and hardware
  • Add or develop abilities in preparing data collector cables with 2 pin socket connectors or BNC’s
  • Adapt to the manufacture of a wide range electronic sensors and cable assemblies
  • Assembly of quality products in short timescales
  • Follow product work instructions so you can build and assemble quality product.
  • Learn and understand about working in a healthy and safe work place.
  • Build a career within a growing Global manufacturing business.

Qualifications and skills

  • Ability to learn new electronic assembly concepts with minimum training and supervision
  • Not compulsory but a proven capability of working to 0402 SMD and capability of working to IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies would be an advantage.
  • Lean Manufacturing & Problem solving would be an advantage
  • Electronics training to IPC-A-610 is an advantage
  • A competent level of soldering is preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • A competent level of English and Mathematics
  • Ability to learn new assembly concepts with minimum training and supervision.

  • Full time permanent position

  • 7.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday (will depend on staff allocation at time of appointment)
