WHAT TO EXPECT
This role will work as part of the maintenance operations team at Castle Bromwich and Solihull Stampings to provide electrical/Mechanical support on our cranes and maintain all associated plant equipment and be responsible for first line response to requests / issues with equipment / processes.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Work on and test safely, different voltage systems including 24vdc, 110vac, 415vac.
• Understanding of relay logic control systems. fault diagnosis of various motor types
• Use of PLC's with at least Ladder logic understanding.
• Basic electrical installation skills, e.g., termination of industrial connectors, power sockets etc.
• Working on various types of motor drives, AC, DC, Invertors.
• Understanding of encoders and positional systems.
• Thorough knowledge of various fault-finding methodologies.
• Basic mechanical bench work skills.
• Read and cross reference within Eplan electrical drawings.
• Awareness of safety circuits and safety PLC's.
• Dealing and understanding of field devices such as limit switches, pressure switches, solenoid valves and gate interlocks

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential:

• Previous experience in a similar role in maintenance operations and overhead crane Maintenance
• Knowledge of PLC / Electrical Control / Mechanical Systems
• Good Knowledge of overhead cranes
• Working at height
• Have an indentured /advanced modern apprenticeship or minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in a STEM subject (Science, Technical, Engineering & Mathematics) with relevant experience in Electrical Maintenance

Desirable:

• Experience of Environmental controls and practices
• Knowledge of health and safety processes
• Microsoft package elements Power Point & Excel
• Demonstrable experience in the application of a logical approach to Problem Solving
