Electrician

Pencoed, Bridgend

£35,000 per annum (Days)

ROCKWOOL UK are looking to add 3 Electrician’s to their growing Maintenance Team at our Pencoed factory in South Wales.

Working closely with other Day Electrician’s and Shift Electricians, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing production machinery across the plant as well as fault finding and carrying out repairs on a variety of electrical equipment.

This role is offering full-time, permanent employment and the successful candidates will be required to work Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm and Friday 8am to 3pm.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

Responsible for carrying out the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment.
Ensuring that electrical equipment within the job holder’s area of responsibility performs to targeted levels of reliability.
Fault finding on electrical systems that include but not limited to Siemens PLC’s, SCADA Systems, AC/DC motors and frequency drives.
To be able to evaluate and modify group and company standard electrical and process drawings and implement improvements on electrical, mechanical and process issues
Uses the SAP plant maintenance system to deliver the agreed planned maintenance programme for the plant.
Flexible approach to shift work when cover is needed for the Shift Electrician’s. There is a requirement to cover shifts when required.
Carry out all responsibilities using the Rockwool values (Ambition, Integrity, Responsibility and Efficiency) as the basis for your day to day actions.
Working on a variety of projects defined by Engineering Management team.
Actively using problem solving techniques to identify the true root cause of the issue – and implement corrective actions.
Support all company policies, ensuring full compliance with the procedures that accompany these.

This is what you offer:

Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering (Minimum NVQ Level 3)
Experienced in maintenance, planned and reactive, of industrial machinery in a manufacturing, industrial or automated environment
Proactive and logical approach to problem solving
Experience and good understanding of AC/DC Motors and Frequency Drives
Familiar with Siemens PLC driven machinery
Experience with SCADA Packages (WinCC)
Good understanding of safety systems and equipment.
Good understanding of instrumental control
