Home Power Electrical Services is an established electrical contractor providing installation and maintenance services to general households and installers of high-end professional garden/studios/cinema rooms based at Westcott Venture Park near Aylesbury.
To keep up with demand, the company is further expanding its services to include; smart controls, home automation, Solar PV and a variety of renewable technologies. Home Power is offering permanent positions for fully, and partially qualified candidates to work alongside their experienced team of 19 Electrical Engineers.
Due to the business’ dynamic nature, varied and sometimes technically challenging installations, we are looking to invest in and develop career-driven, committed individuals. Home Power has a proven history of providing opportunities to established Engineers, Junior Electricians and candidates moving into our industry mid-career, successfully developing them into lead roles and senior management positions. Due to the high volume of customers and job sites you must be willing to travel and commit to occasional overnight stays.
Requirements:
- City & Guilds L3 Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Driven to obtain further qualifications such as, NVQ L3, AM2, BS7671 - 18thEdition (training provided)
- Willing to develop a full understanding of our fault diagnosis and testing procedures
- Following training, complete any relevant job documents and electrical certificates on behalf of the company
- Have excellent customer communication and verbal skills
- Detailed and articulate
- Reliable and conscientious attitude
- Excellent timekeeping
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Two years’ on-site experience working as an Electrical Installer
Job Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain a variety of electrical systems while observing all statutory and legal requirements
- Run diagnostic tests on electrical systems to ensure a safe and effective installation
- Inspect existing electrical systems and equipment for damage, product malfunctions, and safety hazards
- Provide professional assessments and advice for high-value customers
- Review maintenance work orders and ensure all pre-site preparations and post job completion requirements are fully delivered to the company’s standards
- Other duties as requested
- Fault finding, diagnosis and reporting
- Willing to undertake further training and meet set deadlines for assessments
- Ensure all accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances are fully reported
Remunerations:
- £30,000 to £42,000 including monthly paid bonus scheme, experience dependant
- All tools, transport and PPE supplied
- Personal use of van permitted for fully qualified Electricians
