About the role:
We are currently seeking an Electrician to carry out a range of electrical tasks together with a range of related tasks in a range of other trade disciplines, providing customer focused repairs and maintenance.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Carrying out a range of electrical tests in accordance with safety requirements
Installing, testing and verifying new and existing equipment and installations, carrying out repairs where necessary
Carrying out rewiring and kitchen and bathroom improvement programmes
Ensuring that the association’s van is well maintained and serviced
Storing and transporting all equipment and plant safely and maintaining it in good working order
What we’re looking for:
Trained to 17th Edition with City and Guilds 2382 Certificate in requirements for Electrical Installations (BS7671) and City and Guilds 2391 (Inspection, Testing and Certification) or NVQ equivalent, with post qualification experience
Experience of working in occupied and unoccupied domestic properties. Skilled in installing new electrical installations and undertaking upgrade projects.
Ability to carry out related building and plumbing tasks
Experience of undertaking electrical works to domestic properties
Ability to legibly and accurately fill out daily administrative paperwork, electronic based inspection certificates and use tablet computers as part of remote working processes
Ability to work inside and outside, from ladders, on roofs and in confined spaces where necessary
Ability to plan and organise work and materials
