3 Months Fixed Term Contract

Part Time –12 hours per week

As an Administrative Assistant you will be working in the heart of our People Team and the work that you do will have a positive impact on the colleague experience across the Saga brand.

Whilst the day to day will consist of handling a variety of administrative tasks, we are looking for someone to question “Why are we doing it this way?” and “How can we improve this process?”

If you are highly organised, possess excellent problem-solving skills and have a keen eye for continuous improvement, this could be the role for you!

Main Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support:

    • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings for executives and team members.
    • Handle incoming emails, providing timely and professional responses.
    • Act as a liaison between departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
    • Coordinate and support the planning of company events, workshops, and meetings.

    Process Improvement:

    • Review current administrative procedures and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with various teams and individuals to gather feedback and insights on existing processes, where needed.
    • Propose and implement innovative solutions to streamline administrative tasks and enhance productivity.
    • Develop and document new streamlined processes and procedures for approval and implementation.

    Data Management:

    • Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
    • Complete data entry and generate reports to support decision-making processes.
The Ideal Candidate

This fixed-term role will be ideal for a candidate with the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant, or a similar support role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Previous experience using Workplace is desirable.
  • Ability to identify process inefficiencies and propose practical solutions for improvement.
  • Familiarity with process mapping tools or process improvement methodologies is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in process improvement initiatives or project management is highly desirable.
