You'll attend to breakdowns, complete maintenance or fault find. It’s your initiative that will help us to find the best solutions. Fewer things are more important to our communities than having reliably clean running water.

What’s really important, is that you come from an industrial background with experience in controls and instrumentation (C&I), three phase supply with a relevant electrical technical qualification. Some knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) would also be useful. As someone who enjoys working under your own direction, you’ll be trusted to use your knowledge and experience to find solutions that meet the highest standards in terms of quality, safety and cost.

You can be sure that no two days are ever the same here. You could be visiting sites to complete repairs, responding to breakdowns, supervising the work of contractors or helping to restore faults. You’ll maintain and install a range of electrical plant and water treatment equipment, including pumps, motors, chemical analysers and gas dosing equipment. So, it’s your attention to detail and ability to take ownership of problems that will help you to make your mark.
We provide a company vehicle to carry out your work. You’ll generally work 37 hours per week between the hours of 7.30am to 15.30 Monday to Friday. As we’re an essential service; you’ll sometimes be needed on standby to respond to incidents outside of normal hours and at weekends. In return, you’ll receive additional standby allowance payment (c. £2,000 per annum). Being a team player, you’ll be willing to show flexibility to work overtime on occasions to see the job through to conclusion.
We offer a clear pay progression structure to encourage your development. We’re also open to providing training to help you take your knowledge to the next step, for example, becoming an expert in programmable logic controllers.
