Description
Within this opportunity, you will be responsible for learning and understanding all standard operating procedures for wiring and maintenance of the electrical build with Huxley Bertram machines, to the project plan and the customer specification, supporting Electrical Technicians and Project Engineers as appropriate.
Key objectives and deliverables:
- Learn how to wire development machines competently, with an understanding of electrical schematics and the customer specifications.
- Develop a positive and proactive attitude to work (in general), to allocated project related tasks and to learning your craft
- Support Electrical and Commissioning Technicians as required.
- Attending customer sites to learn how to implement modifications to existing machines.
- Successfully complete Electrical Apprenticeship, achieving an industry standard qualification.
- Have respect for our colleagues and foster an inclusive environment.

Entry requirements
Maths and English GCSE Maths and English grades 5-9 or A-C.
Training to be provided
- The learner will be studying the Engineering Fitter Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
- Day release to West Suffolk College.
- Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
The day-release to WSC will e held at either Bury St Edmunds or Chatteris.

Hours per week 40
Working week Monday - Friday, the company is flexible with regard to your start and finish times but you must work core hours each day of 9:30 - 15:30.
