Location: Surrey/Richmond upon Thames

Rate: £350.00 – £400.00 Per Day

Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry who have been awarded a programme of work to deliver non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects for Thames Water.

They are looking to recruit and Electrical Supervisor for one of their key projects and duties/responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Organize and manage electrical installation works on a large Thames Water clean water site
  • Check site installations carried out by sub-contractors to ensure compliance with the specification and drawings
  • Maintain drawing files, drawing register and site filing system
  • Liaise with design department on design issues and resolve queries at site
  • Liaise with Clients site representative on installation details
  • Prepare method statements
  • Issue site instructions for variation work
  • Monitor progress of installations against programme and report on the same
  • Witness Site Acceptance Tests on panels and testing of installations
  • Prepare defects schedule and ensure prompt completion of corrective work
  • Prepare Construction Completion documentation
  • Assist during commissioning of the works
  • Ensure that the installations are carried out to a good quality, in accordance with the specification and to good working practices.
  • Ensure that all work on site is carried out in accordance with current legislation, the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and that safe working procedures and practices are implemented
  • Prepare and deliver Toolbox talks to site personnel
  • Operate Electrical Permit to Work system and maintain records
  • Operate Electrical Sanction to Test system

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience of working in the water or wastewater industry
  • Have previous experience within an Electrical Supervisor role writing electrical permits to work and controlling electrical Health and Safety on site
  • Experience working with LV Electrical switchgear and motor control centres
  • Experience in Electrical installations, cabling and building services
  • Experience in Control Systems, motor control and Telemetry
  • City and Guilds Inspection and Testing Certificate 2394 and 2395 would be an advantage
  • COMPEX Certificate and experience in DSEAR Regulations Would be an Advantage
  • 18th Edition Update and full working knowledge of BS7671
  • ECS CARD
  • EUSR Card
  • First Aid Certificate
  • SMSTS or SSSTS Certificate
