Best.Energy are recruiting an Electrical Installation Engineer, primarily based in the Birmingham / West Midlands area
We are looking for an Engineer with a strong technical background and the ability to work independently or alongside a team.
Our ideal candidate will take pride in high level installations at our partner sites, ensuring excellence in their work. You will be comfortable travelling in the role, primarily across the Midlands with additional travel over the South and further afield as needed - overnight stays may required.
Salary £38k - £45k pa DOE
As a Best.Energy Electrical Installation Engineer, you’ll be responsible for visiting sites across the UK installing the Best.Energy energy management systems (EMS) in a variety of commercial businesses Using your professional skills and experience, you’ll be expected to work either alone or as part of a team. Not only will your role include the physical installation of the hardware, but IT and Network knowledge will be required to commission and program the systems.
Full training will be provided on all our equipment

- Working to SLA agreements and timeframes
- Install our range of EMS system for our direct customers
- Assist our 3rd party Contractors with installations
- Support and train our 3rd party Electrical contractors within your area
- Any issues to report back to R&D team
- Liaising with EST and feedback any issues
- Support desk to log faults
- Communication with stakeholders
- Use our unique CS portal to report issues
The experience we are looking for in an Electrical Installation Engineer;
- 18th Edition - essential
- Networking knowledge
- 2391 or 2394/5 inspection and testing
- IoT experience - essential
- Driving licence - essential
- Ability to work independently
- HVAC systems - bonus
- Commercial kitchens - bonus (quick serve model)
- Working within Engineering and commercial business
