Job description

Since 1992, Veriserv has offered a range of electrical compliance services nationwide for many large public and private organisations. Due to our continued success and growth, we have a vacancy for an Emergency Lighting & Fire Systems, PAT, Test & Maintenance engineer.

The right candidate will be working within commercial premises regionally and across the UK - carrying out planned maintenance checks to Fire Alarms in accordance with BS 5839 & Emergency Lighting systems in accordance with BS 5226 plus other routine safety inspections.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Some experience in fire alarms is preferred, however we will provide training for the right applicant who is electrically qualified.
  • The job role will involve traveling to sites within your region at carry out periodic testing of the fire alarms, emergency lighting systems and Portable Appliances.
  • Good administrative skills are essential as you will utilise both proprietary software and Office 365 programs to deliver the required data to our office systems.
  • Good communication skills are required as the works will be undertaken in occupied premises, and you will be required to advise the occupants of any disruption as well as advise the client formally of defects.

  • City & Guilds 2330 - Level 3 (or equivalent)
