ELECTRICAL IMPROVER - BASIC RATE OF PAY £180 + EXPENSES

Gloucester / Stoke On Trent / Birmingham Areas

We are a small yet growing business based in the South Midland area are seeking an experienced Electrical Improver to work as a mobile operative based in the above areas. The work will involve maintaining and installing Emergency Lighting, Intruder Alarms and Fire Alarms to a wide range of premises.

Any experience with Fire Alarms and Security Systems (including CCTV) would be a massive bonus. The position is to cover work in the Midlands / South West areas to carry out both planned maintenance and reactive call out works.

We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.

The position will initially be on a sub-contractor basis, with the opportunity to join the team on a full time employee basis after an initial 3 - 6 month probation period.

  • Basic Pay of £180 per day (Dependent on Experience & Qualifications).
  • Working hours are Monday to Friday (40 hour week).
  • Overtime available.

Your role as an Electrical Improver will include:

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Installation, service & maintenance of CCTV, Intruder Alarms & Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Emergency Light Testing and small Electrical Installation works
  • Good fault-finding skills and resolving technical issues.
  • Attending to multiple clients across the Midlands and NW areas you will be happy to travel. Most of the work is within this area, however you should be prepared to travel across the UK and stay away from home if required.

The Ideal Person Will :

  • Have Excellent communication skills, be RELIABLE and have the ability to think on their feet.
  • Be Located geographically in Gloucester / Stoke On Trent / Birminghamor the surrounding area.
  • Be well-organised, presentable and confident with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Have a good knowledge of electrical installations and be very health and safety conscious.
  • Have a Full UK driving License.
  • Have at least 2 years experience within the Electrical, Fire or Security industry.
  • Have their own Transport
  • Have their own Tools

Qualifications:

· IET 18th Edition (Advantageous)

· Electrical Installation C&G Certification (Essential)

· FIA Certification (Advantageous)

· Asbestos Awareness (Advantageous)

· IPAF (Advantageous)

· DBS Clearance (Advantageous)
