The Role:

Due to an increase in requirements with our UKPN Client, Clancy are delighted to bring to market opportunities for three experienced Electrical Fitters to join our alliance and play a pivotal role in achieving our vision of delivering smarter, greener infrastructure brilliantly.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out relevant electrical installation within new or existing substations to ensure compliance with DNO/IDNO specifications
• Install earth nests/mats to specified drawings
• Carry out all testing and inspection of installations
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environment & quality polices, procedures and standards at all times, escalating and documenting specific site hazards/conditions, as required
• Ensure site is left compliant for other trades and general public

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

To be successful in this role you will ideally need to have a background in working in HV substation environments (i.e UKPN, NGC etc).

You will also need to possess most, if not all the following criteria:

• Confined Space A, B & C
• EUSR
• IPAF
• PASMA
• Gas safety
• Ladder Association User & Inspector
• PAT testing
• Mechanical fitting – installation of Unistrut products, cable tray, cable ladder, conduit etc.
• Wiring of electrical circuits
• Multicore cables – installation, glanding & terminating into protection panels, SCADA panels, marshalling kiosks, battery chargers, LVAC panels etc.
• Installation of earth switches & disconnectors
• Earthing – brazing, ductor testing etc.
• Ability to read complex wiring diagrams
• Ability to produce wiring core sheets from wiring diagrams
• Ability to work as part of a team or lead a team of fitters
